These Terms of Use (“Terms”) apply to your use of dateanasiangirl.com, including its articles, community forum, newsletter and AI chat assistant (together, “the site”). By using the site you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, please do not use the site.

1. Adults only (18+)

The site is only for people aged 18 or older. By using the site or creating an account, you confirm that you are at least 18 and old enough to enter into these Terms where you live. We will remove accounts and content if we learn that a user is under 18.

2. What the site is, and what it is not

Date an Asian Girl is an informational magazine and discussion community about dating, relationships, travel and culture in Asia. It is not a dating service, matchmaking agency or introduction service. We do not arrange meetings, introductions or marriages, we do not verify members, and we do not share members’ contact details.

3. Your account

• Give accurate information when you register and keep your login details private. You are responsible for everything that happens under your account.
• One account per person. Do not impersonate anyone or create accounts on someone else’s behalf.
• Tell us straight away at siteteam@dateanasiangirl.com if you think your account has been used without your permission.

4. Community rules

We want the forum to be a friendly, respectful place for everyone. These rules add to our Community Guidelines. When you post, comment, send messages or use any part of the site, you must not:

• Be disrespectful or harass anyone. No insults, threats, bullying, stalking, hate speech, or attacks based on ethnicity, nationality, gender, sexual orientation, religion, disability or any other personal characteristic.
• Objectify people. Talk about people as individuals, not as products, “types” or trophies. No content that reduces people to their looks, ethnicity or nationality, and no stereotyping.
• Solicit. No requests for or offers of sexual services, escort or “companion” arrangements, paid introductions, “bride” or marriage-broker services, or any other commercial dating or matchmaking offer. No advertising, spam or affiliate links without our permission.
• Scam or ask for money. No requests for money, gifts, loans, cryptocurrency, investments, travel or visa costs, or financial details, and no phishing, fraud or romance-scam behavior. If anyone asks you for money, report it to us and do not pay.
• Post explicit content. No nudity, pornography, sexually explicit text or images, or sexual content of any kind involving minors (which we will report to the authorities).
• Break the law or others’ rights. No illegal content, copyright or trademark infringement, or content that promotes violence, self-harm, trafficking or exploitation.
• Invade privacy. Do not share anyone’s private messages, photos, contact details, location or identity documents without their permission (doxxing).
• Misuse the site. No hacking, scraping, automated posting, spreading malware, or trying to get around moderation or account bans.

5. Your content and the license you give us

You keep ownership of the posts, comments, images and other content you submit (“your content”). By posting it on the site, you give us a worldwide, non-exclusive, royalty-free license to host, store, display, reproduce, format, translate, distribute and promote your content in connection with the site (for example showing a forum post on the homepage or in a newsletter). This license continues for content that has been shared with others or that we keep as backups, and otherwise ends when your content is deleted from the site.

You are responsible for your content. You confirm that you have the right to post it and that it follows these Terms. Your forum posts and profile are public, so please think before you share personal details.

6. Moderation and account removal

We may (but do not have to) review, edit, hide, move, close or remove any content, and we may warn, suspend, restrict or delete any account, at any time and for any reason, including if we believe it breaks these Terms or the Community Guidelines, puts other users at risk, or could expose us to legal liability. Where reasonable we will tell you why. You can report content or a member to siteteam@dateanasiangirl.com; please include a link to the post.

You can stop using the site and ask us to delete your account at any time (see our Privacy Policy).

7. AI-generated content

Some content on the site is created or assisted by artificial intelligence. This includes articles drafted with AI assistance and then reviewed by our team, some forum starter topics and replies posted by staff accounts, and the “Site Assistant (AI)” chat. Posts from staff and AI accounts are labelled (for example “Site Team (Staff)” or “(AI)”) so you can tell them apart from members. AI-generated content can be inaccurate, incomplete or out of date. Do not rely on it for important decisions, and please don’t share sensitive information with the AI chat assistant, because messages are sent to Google’s Gemini service to generate replies.

8. No professional advice

Everything on the site, including articles, forum posts and AI chat answers, is general information only. It is not legal, immigration or visa, financial, tax, medical, psychological or other professional advice, and it does not create any professional relationship. Laws, visa rules and travel conditions change and differ by country. For decisions about visas, marriage, money, health or safety, check official government sources and talk to a qualified professional.

9. Safety

Use common sense when talking to people you meet online or in person. Never send money to someone you have not met, meet in public places, tell a friend where you are going, and follow local laws and customs. We are not responsible for the conduct of any member or of anyone you meet through the site or elsewhere. See our Disclaimer for more.

10. Links, ads and affiliate partners

The site contains links to other websites, ads and affiliate links. We do not control those websites and are not responsible for their content, products, services or privacy practices. 11. Our content

The site’s articles, design, logo and other materials (excluding user content and content licensed from others) belong to us or our licensors. You may read, share links to and quote short parts of our content with credit and a link. Please do not copy, republish or sell our content without permission.

12. Disclaimers

The site is provided “as is” and “as available”. To the fullest extent allowed by law, we make no warranties of any kind, express or implied, including about accuracy, reliability, availability, fitness for a particular purpose or non-infringement. We do not guarantee that the site will be uninterrupted, secure or error-free, or that any information on it is correct or up to date. We do not endorse, verify or take responsibility for content posted by members.

13. Limitation of liability

To the fullest extent allowed by law, we and the site’s owners, staff and partners will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential or punitive damages, or for any loss of data, money, profits or goodwill, arising out of or related to your use of (or inability to use) the site, any content on it, or any conduct of other users or third parties, even if we have been told such damages are possible. Our total liability for any claim related to the site is limited to the greater of US $50 or the amount you paid us (if anything) in the 12 months before the claim. Some places do not allow these limits, so they may not all apply to you.

14. Indemnity

You agree to compensate us and hold us harmless from claims, losses and costs (including reasonable legal fees) that arise from your content, your use of the site, or your breach of these Terms or of the law.

15. Governing law

These Terms are governed by the laws of the owner’s state of residence in the United States, without regard to its conflict-of-law rules, and by applicable US federal law. If you live in a country whose consumer laws give you rights that cannot be waived, those rights are not affected.

16. Changes to these Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. We will change the “Last updated” date above, and for significant changes we will post a notice on the site. If you keep using the site after changes take effect, you accept the updated Terms.

17. General

If any part of these Terms is found unenforceable, the rest stays in effect. If we do not enforce a right, that is not a waiver of it. These Terms, together with our Privacy Policy and Community Guidelines, are the whole agreement between you and us about the site.
